Ionia hosted Corunna tonight at home and won 97-86.  It was a hard-fought meet, and the girls swam well.  The size of our team was definitely a deciding factor since we could fill all of the lanes in all of the events.  There were 20 more personal best times tonight.  Isabelle Robinson, Addy Lepien, Katelyn Lamphere, Ella Udell and Hannah Luttman had the biggest drops in time in their events.  The new swimmers on our team are making fantastic progress, and we continue to get better with every swim in the water.

The team of Amelia McGee, Eily Martinez, JoAnna Platte, and Isabelle Robinson took first in the 200 yard medley relay.  The team of McGee, Addy Lepien, Platte and Sydney Estep took first in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Lamphere took 1st in the 100 yard backstroke and 2nd in the 200 yard freestyle.

Lepien and Martinez went 1-2 in the 200 yard individual medley.

McGee and freshman, Adah Drown, went 1-2 in the 100 yard butterfly.  McGee also took first in the 100 yard breastroke.

Robinson, Martinez and Brynn Labadie went 2, 3, 4 in the 50 yard freestyle. Robinson also took 2nd in the 500 yard freestyle and Martinez took 2nd in the 100 yard backstroke.

Sydney Estep took 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle in a very close and exciting race.

Ionia will host Hastings at home on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
