Ionia traveled to Haslett (54-121) and Okemos (57-121) in a double dual meet at the Haslett Pool.  It was a tough night for the Bulldogs in the water, but they are learning and getting better each time they are in the water.  There were twenty-six personal best times and many swimmers took on the challenge of a new event.  There were no disqualifications which have plagued the team in the last few meets.

Top performers of the night include:

Madeline McGee - took first in the 500 yard freestyle and the 100 yard backstroke

Amelia McGee - took first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle

The relay team of A.McGee, Katelyn Lamphere, Eily Martinez and M. McGee took second in the 400 yard freestyle relay.

Other standout performances include:

Eily Martinez who dropped 12 seconds for a personal best in the 200 yard freestyle and later dropped another 5 seconds in the 100 yard backstroke.

Riley Browne who dropped 4 seconds for a personal best in the 100 yard freestyle.

Ionia is now 3-1 in the CAAC Red.  

Ionia will host Mason on Thursday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m.
