MASON HIGH SCHOOL: 111.00
Ionia Varsity Swim traveled to Mason High School tonight and lost 68-111. The girls swam hard and showed progress in their technique after a hard week of workouts in the pool. Madeline McGee took first place in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle, both with personal best times. Brynn Lepien took first in 2 very exciting race; she out-touched her competition by 0.06 in the 200 yard individual medley and by 0.12 in the 100 yard freestyle. Jenna Gould took second in the 100 yard backstroke. Calah Holman took second in the 100 yard breaststroke, with a personal best time. There were 16 other personal best swims. Grace Brown and Jules Weller both looked strong in the pool with 3 personal best times each. Ionia travels to Waverly High School next Thursday, October 1.
