Ionia Girls lose to Eaton Rapids

Ionia traveled to Eaton Rapids for our first dual meet of the season. Ionia lost 43-121. With several new freshmen and an overall young team, the girls swam hard to do their best. Madeline McGee took the only first place of the night in the 100 yard freestyle with a personal best time . McGee took second in the 200 yard individual medley, also with a best time. Jenna Gould, our lone senior, took second in the 500 yard freestyle. There were nine additional personal best times earned by swimmers. Riley Browne dropped the most time, shaving 10 seconds in her 100 yard freestyle. The girls have a solid week to train before heading to Mason next week Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
