The Junior Varsity football team lost to a strong Portland squad with a final score of 22-55. The Bulldogs' touchdowns were scored by Ethan Wenzel with a 2-yard run, Cody Waterman with a 10-yard run, and Bryce Shattuck with a 72-yard pass. Ionia's passing game accumulated 201 yards, with Wenzel contributing 129 yards and Waterman adding 72 yards. Bryce Shattuck led the receiving corps with 134 yards, followed by Cody Waterman with 39 yards and Grant Starks with 19 yards, each having 3 receptions.
