Ionia boys JV basketball team defeated Eaton Rapids 68-51 in their first conference matchup of the season. The bulldogs led by over 20 at half and maintained the lead in the second half.

Henry Castle scored 16, and Hobbs Pinnow hit 5 threes to score 15 points. Max Doty nearly double doubled with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Carter Castillo took yet another charge to put him up to 3 total on the season.

Ionia Jv improves to 2-0 and will travel to Lakewood on Monday.
