OLIVET HIGH SCHOOL: 36
Ionia boys jv basketball team defeated Olivet on Thursday night by a score of 47-36. Ionia got out to an early jump in the first quarter, holding Olivet to just 4 points. Grant Starks got off to a hot start, hitting two 3's in the first quarter.
Our offense slowed in the second quarter but our defense remained steady throughout the game. Kadyn Ross played his best game of the season, scoring 9 points to go with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Kadyn was excellent on the glass and was a big part of our defense tonight. Aiden Washington was the big playmaker on the night, recording 22 points and 5 steals. Aiden was huge for us throughout the entire game.
Ionia JV's record stands at 2-5 and will be off until December 30th when they take on Dewitt in a home match up triple header. Jv game tips off at 5:30.
