J.W. SEXTON HIGH SCHOOL: 40
The Ionia Boys JV Basketball team defeated the J.W. Sexton Boys JV team 59-40.
Sexton gave us a good fight the entire night. We tightened up our defense and made some adjustments at half time and won the third quarter 18-9 to put us in good position to close out the game. We have been a second half team all year, which is a compliment to our conditioning and hard work since day 1.
The Bulldogs took advantage of the size advantage, as both Lance Atkinson, and Miles Gregory put in 21 points a piece, doing most of their work from the low post.
Bulldog's JV advances to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
