Goeckel Swims Hard at MHSAA Finals

Carl Goeckel represented Ionia at the 2024 MHSAA Division 3 Swimming State Preliminaries at the Holland Aquatic Center. Carl had qualified in 3 events the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, and 100-yard butterfly. He chose to focus on the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly for the prelims. Carl swam hard in both races placing 23 in the 200 freestyle and 19th in the 100-yard butterfly but unfortunately did not qualify for day 2 of the finals. Congratulations on a great season and qualifying for the second year in a row!
