On Saturday the Ionia Boys Swim and Dive team participated in the DK-Hastings Invitational. Ionia placed fourth overall and brought home metals for the 1-meter diving relay (team of Carleigh Thompson, Hannah Luttman, and Talon Thompson) and 400 freestyle relay (team of Carl Goeckel, Body Brownell, Cooper Highlen, and Christian Martinez). It was a tough meet for Ionia due to illnesses, but the athletes that participated did their best in unfamiliar events. Ionia’s next meet will be home against Eaton Rapids High School.
