WAVERLY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 57
It was a great night for the Ionia Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving team beating Waverly High School 78 to 57 on the road. The Bulldogs earned 40 points were with six 1st place finishes:
- Carliegh Thompson won diving
- Carl Goeckel won the 100 Butterfly and 100 backstroke
- Seth Wandell won the 100 Breaststroke
- The team of Nick Richey, Gabe Holman, Christian Martinez, & Tristan Asher took 1st in the 200 relay
- The team of Carl Goeckel, Christian Martinez, Brendin Bushee, & Gabe Holman took 1st in the 400 freestyle relay.
The Bulldogs will be back in action next Wednesday at home vs. Ovid-Elsie.
