Ionia swimmers challenged TK Hastings on Thursday, December 8. The young team of one senior, two juniors, six sophomores and four freshman put their best early season effort in against the Barracudas. Many of the swimmers competed in new events. Sophomore Carl Goeckel placed first in both the 200 yard individual medley and 100 yard butterfly. The swimmers will host the Greyhounds of Eaton Rapids on Thursday, December 15; we will compete at our first travel meet at Mason for the Mason Invitational on Saturday December 17.
