The Ionia swimmers put up some very tough swims against the powerful Williamston team. Several swimmers continued to improve their time and others jumped in to cover unexpected openings in the line up. Kenny Felice was the high point earner of the night with two exciting 1st place wins in the Individual Medley and the 100 Breaststroke which he dedicated to his friend and former swim instructor Cody Nutt who inspired him to continue his growth as a swimmer. 2nd places went to Carl Goeckel in the 50 yard Freestyle and the Ionia 200 Medley and 400 freestyle relay teams. A few swimmers debuted in events: Elijah Peterson in the 200 Individual medley, Nick Richey in the 100 Butterfly, and Hanna Wirtz in the 100 Breaststroke.
The next meet is the Dewitt Invitational in Dewiit. Spash down at 10 am Sat Feb. 5.
