Ionia Varsity Wrestling Splits With J.W. Sexton & Greenville

Ionia Varsity wrestling traveled to Lansing tonight to compete in our last regular season quad where Ionia split getting a win over Sexton 38-34 and then lost to Greenville 42-36. Ionia is now 11-13 on the season. Ionia had 4 wrestlers go 2-0 on the night Chad Campbell, Carter Castillo, Hunter Barker, and Jon Rico. Other Bulldogs earning a win tonight were Ricky Charon, Aaron Wolthuis, Jackson Stoakes, Bryce Hoppes, Landen Steffen, Sarah Schafer, and Sadie Roberts. Ionia will be back on the mat this weekend where our JV will wrestle Friday night at Waverly HS, and our Varsity will travel to Mason Saturday for the CAAC Championships.
