Ionia Varsity Wrestling drops two duals at Portland

Ionia's Boys varsity team had a rough night at Portland in a CAAC double dual event. Ionia lost to both Portland and then Mason who are currently ranked 4th in the state in their respective divisions. Ionia's Girls team was also able to compete tonight with both of our girls wrestling very tough. Elenor had a great match where she scored 17 points in one match. Sarah Schafer went out and got a big win by pin fall. Ionia has a busy upcoming weekend. Our girls travel to Fowlerville this Friday wrestling starts at 5pm, and our boys will travel to Lakeview this Saturday wrestling will start at 9am.
