Ionia had a great day on the mat and took 4th place as a team out of 14 teams. Your Bulldogs had 7 wrestlers earn medals today including 2 champions. Hunter Barker and Carter Castillo both went 3-0 today and won their brackets. Ricky Charon and Landen Steffen both took 2nd place. Chad Campbell went 3-1 and took 3rd place. Aaron Wolthuis went 3-2 and Jonathan Rico went 2-2 on the day bringing home 4th place medals. Also Finding success today was Jack Gardner and Levi Scheid both went 2-2. and Wrestlers Jackson Stoakes and Johan Baeza also got wins today.
Ionia will be back on the mat Wednesday where we travel to Williamston High School to compete against Lansing Eastern and Grand Ledge Wrestling starts at 5:30.
