Ionia Varsity Wrestling team traveled to Delton Kellogg today to compete in DK Team tournament. Ionia went 3-2 on the day and took 2nd place as a team. 

Rd 1 = Ionia 71 - Parchment 6 

Rd 2 = Ionia 48 - Delton 30

Rd 3 = Ionia 30 - Paw Paw 44

Rd 4 =  Ionia 12 - Union City 69

Rd 5 = Ionia 63 - Comstock 18

Freshman Chad Campbell went 5-0 on the day at 113lbs. Ricky Charon, Carter Castillo, Hunter Barker, and Landen Steffen all went 4-1. All 5 wrestlers brought home medals. Wrestlers Aaron Wolthuis, Austin Murphy, and Wyatt Berry all went 3-2.  Logan Rozewski, Levi Scheid, Bryce Hoppes, and Drake Wittenbach went 2-3.

Ionia also sent a group of wrestlers to Delton Friday night for the JV tournament. Sarah Schafer and Johan Baeza both came home with wins. 

The Ionia wrestling team is now 4-3 on the season. Ionia will travel to East Lansing Wednesday evening to wrestle a quad vs Lakewood and Waverly.
