Ionia Traveled to the Don Johnson Field house in Lansing to compete in the 3rd annual CAAC Conference Championship Tournament. Ionia placed 9th out of 18 schools today. Ionia brought 12 wrestlers to compete today 8 of our wrestlers finished in the top 8 in there weight class and 6 wrestlers finished in top 5 bringing home medals. Senior Nathan Clute had a Great day going 3-1 at 165 lb weight class and taking 2nd place. Sohpmore Sarah Schafer went 2-1 and took 2nd place today at the first CAAC Girls only division part of the tournament. Senior Killian Campbell went 2-1 and took 3rd place today at 144lb weight class. Chase Holford and Hunter barker both came home with a 5th place medal. Chase went 2-1 and Hunter went 4-1. Keagan Lang went 2-2 on the day and placed 7th. Chris Smith went 2-3 and took 8th place. 

Your Bulldogs will be back on the mat this week we host Team Districts Wednesday wrestling starts at 6pm. Then travel to Hastings Saturday for Individual Districts.
