Ionia traveled to Lowell to compete in the MHSAA individual district tournament. Ionia has TWO regional qualifiers Killian Campbell at 140 went 3-1 and took 3rd place with his only loss being to the district champion from Lowell. Senior Demetri Davis went 3-2 at the 189 lb weight class and placed 4th moving onto regionals. Qualifying for regionals means both boys are now in the top 32 wrestlers in the state in their weight class. Also getting wins today were wrestlers Logan Rozewski, Nate Dygert, Hunter Barker, Jon Anderson, Nathan Clute, and Chase Holford. Your Bulldogs will be back on the mat next weekend for Regionals where the boys will wrestle Saturday at Allendale High School. Our girls will wrestle Sunday at the 1st ever MHSAA Girls Only Regionals.
