Ionia Varsity Wrestling goes 1-2 at Home

Ionia Varsity wrestling team wrestled at home today and went 1-2. Ionia Fell to Forest Hills Eastern 47-36 and Mason 63-16 . Ionia finished the day with a win over Central Montcalm 45-24. Ionia had a few Bulldogs go 3-0 on the day Sophomore Killian Campbell at 135 lb weight class. Senior Aidan Clute at heavy weight also went 3-0. Christian Negrete also had a strong showing today going 2-1 at 145 lb weight class. Also earning wins for the bulldogs were Nathan Clute at 189 and Hunter Barker at the140lb weight class.
Ionia varsity wrestling team is now 3-6 on the season. Ionia will be back on the mat this Wednesday 2/24 at Home wrestling against Lakewood, Portland, and Willamston.
