CHARLOTTE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 46
Ionia Varsity Wrestling goes 1-2 in season Opener. The bulldogs started the day out with a loss to Charlotte 46-33 and to St. Johns 55-21. Ionia ended the day with a win over Lansing Eastern 54-28. Tough outing for the dogs giving up 3 weight classes as voids today giving the other team 18 points to start every match. That being said we saw a lot of tough fought matches today by our Ionia Bulldogs. Nathan Clute went 2-0 today at 189 lb wt. class. The following wrestlers all went 2-1 today: Corentin Descamps at 130 lbs , Killian Campbell at 135 lbs, Ethan Bowen and Hunter Barker at 140 lbs , and Aidan Clute at heavyweight. The Varsity wrestling team will be back on the mat Wednesday 2/17 at Fowlerville High School start time 5pm.
