Junior Jacob Mongtomery competed in the MHSAA D2 State Finals at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday. Montgomery finished 130th out of 258 runners under conditions that were extremely windy, resulting in only 5 of 258 competitors running a personal best time. Jacob crossed the line in 17:30, improving 7 seconds and 29 places compared to his effort at the 2021 finals.
Jacob and some of his teammates will compete Saturday at Shepherd at the MITCA Michigan Meet of Champions / Mid-East Qualifier before taking some much-deserved rest and moving on to their winter sports.
