Boys Varsity Cross Country vs. South Christian HS School

The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team competed in the MHSAA Lower Peninsula State Regionals Meet at South Christian High School. A total of 13 teams and 94 boys participated in the race. The Ionia Boys finished in 13th place with 313 points. The team was led by junior Jaxxon Thelen with a time of 17:49.06 with a 44th place finish overall. He was followed by freshman Liam Thelen who placed 56th with a time of 18:24.61. Junior Dallas Bailiff finished 71st with a season’s best time of 19:10.46. Right behind was Conner Morrison with a 72nd place finish with a time of 19:12.32. Freshmen Cooper Highlen, 81st overall, and Xander Towery, 84thoverall, ran times of 20:37.14 and 21:00.28 respectively. Talon Thompson is another freshman, he finished 86th overall with a season’s best time of 21:27.70. Freshman Tylan Daniel competed in the PROM race and ran a season’s best time of 23:05.99.
The Bulldogs’ next meet is on Thursday, October 31st, at the Last Chance Invitational.
