The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team hosted the final CAAC White league jamboree on Thursday. The Bulldogs finished second to Eaton Rapids in this race and, as a result, finished second in the overall league standings behind the Greyhounds.  Top finisher for the Bulldogs was Jacob Montgomery (2nd in 17:31).  Ellis Yokom (5th in 18:13).  Tyson Evans (12th in 18:47), Lincoln Denis (18th in 19:33), and Jaxxon Thelen (19th in 19:35) rounded out the scoring 5 for the Bulldogs.  Lifetime personal best times were run by freshmen Cadence Denis-Griffith (21:24) and Gabe Hollman (23:18).

The combination of this race and two previous jamborees were used to determine CAAC White All-League and All-League Honorable Mention honorees.  Earning All-League recognition were Jacob Montgomery (2nd overall), Ellis Yokom (5th), and Tyson Evans (9th).  In addition, Lincoln Denis (15th), Alex Bushee (21st) and Jaxxon Thelen (21st) earned All-League Honorable Mention.

Ionia will next compete in the MHSSA D2 regional at Grand Rapids South Christian on Saturday, October 29.
