The Ionia boys had a great day of racing at the Greater Lansing Division 2 race on Saturday. The boys finished in 3rd place out of 8 teams with a score of 82 points. Alma took 1st place with 42 points, and Lansing Catholic was in 2nd with 63 points. Racing for the Bulldogs were: Heath LaPointe (4th place with a 17:23 finishing time), Riley Husted (17th place with a time of 18:06), Harrison Yenchar ((18:08 in 18th place), Jacob Montgomery (20th place at 18:12), Andrew Gerdes (28th place with a time of 18:38), Josiah Magley (29th place with an 18:45), and Lukas Schafer (35th place with a time of 19:13). Heath LaPointe brought home a medal for his 4th place finish. The next races for the boys will be the Final League Jamboree for the season and the Pre-regional race on Oct. 24th.
