LANSING CATHOLIC MS: 57
On Monday, November 11th the 7th grade Bulldogs hosted Lansing Catholic Central. Ionia came out ready and trailed just 12-9 after one quarter. But the 3 remaining quarters didn’t go quite as well. Trailing 27-17 at halftime the Bulldogs tried unsuccessfully to pressure which led to LCC scoring 30 points in the second half while Ionia put up just 12. This left Ionia at 0-2 with the 57-29 setback.
Ionia did have 7 different people score with Roemon Russell, Neithan Cruz-Pagan and Jacob Roman leading with 6 points each. Cruz-Pagan also had 6 rebounds to lead Ionia. Hudson Hawley had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Lorenzo Lopez had 5 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.
Ionia hits the road for a game on Wednesday, November 13th in Charlotte looking for a better outcome.
