The Girls Volleyball A Team lost a tough match tonight to Lansing Catholic. The Lady Dawgs faced some tough serves and fell behind early in the first match. Ionia dropped the first set 14-25. The second set was a batlle. Ionia served well and started to gel as a team. Behind the strong serves of Izzy Barr, Amiah Frias and Miah Wittenbach, Ionia rallied from behind to tie the match at 25-25. Lansing Catholic prevailed and Ionia lost a heart breaker 25-27. The third set was close and Amiah Frias served six straight points to lead the Lady Dawgs servers. Ionia dropped the set 12-15. The A Team is 1-1 and will travel to Charlotte on Monday for their next match.
