The Ionia Bulldogs 8th Grade volleyball teams took on the Waverly Warriors tonight at home. Brooklyn Castillo had four aces and two kills as well as two assists and a nice dig. Jordyn Cavagnaro had another two kills. Avery Rowley had another four aces and two kills. The Bulldogs worked together and pulled off a nice first set victory over Waverly winning 25-14. 

The girls came back out served tough again. Alissa Castillo put down four nice aces. Faith Rood had a great kill as well as Lydia Struble. Aubreana Velasquez added an additional ace. There were a few miscommunications between our front and back row but overall the Dawgs overcame their struggles and again defeated the Warriors 25-20. 

The third and final set to 15 showed the Dawgs serving skills once again and their quick feet on defense. They came together and had high energy finishing strong with a 15-4 victory over Waverly.
