The 8th Grade Bulldogs Volleyball teams took on the Charlotte Orioles for their first home match of the season. The B Team Dawgs started off with some great serves from Brooklyn Castillo who also put down a nice kill and 2 great digs. Jordyn Cavagnaro added another 2 aces. Jersey Howorth had a great kill and a nice assist. The Bulldogs were working together on defense and hustling on the court. They took down the Orioles 25-19.

Ionia was ready to fight starting the second set and Alissa Castillo played her role well with 2 service points and 3 great assists. Danica Cummings had 3 nice digs and a great kill. Lydia Struble and Aubrey Velasquez each had a nice kill as well. The Lady Dawgs got the job done and defeated Charlotte 25-20.

Alissa Castillo brought the Bulldogs ahead with 3 service points and 2 aces right away in the third set. Ionia knew they had only 15 points to earn in the last set. Some communication errors and mistakes during serve receive led to the Orioles overtaking the lead and defeating the Bulldogs 11-15. Despite losing the final set, the Dawgs still took the victory over Charlotte in the end winning 2 sets to 1.
