The Ionia 8^th Grade Volleyball teams traveled to Eaton Rapids tonight to take on the Greyhounds. The B team started off strong with Ryley Helmes putting up five aces. Skye Currigan and Melanie White each added three more aces. Elle Lepley and McKenna O’Connor each had a nice kill. The Bulldogs played well together as a team and defeated the Greyhounds 25-14. Ready for the second set, Ionia passed the ball well on serve receive and gained possession back. Helmes served another five aces while Courtney Thomas had an awesome back row kill and Jocelyn White added another kill from the front row. The Bulldogs had great energy and took down Eaton Rapids 25-11. The third and final set started off the same way with Jordyn Ciganick serving up three aces. Brielle Nummer played her role well all around the court and Aizlin Barna hustled in the back row. Brooklynn Nash covered her front row players well. All in all the Bulldogs worked hard as a team and earned their wins tonight, sweeping the Greyhounds in all three sets with the final score being 15-6.
