The Ionia 8th Grade Volleyball team traveled to Portland tonight to take on their rival Raiders. The B Team started off strong, quickly regaining serve possession. Bela Delgado served 3 aces in the first set while Danica White added 5. Kiara Goodsell had some nice digs. Marley Piselli put down two kills! The Bulldogs took the first set 25-15. Ionia started off with strong serves in game two and Cora Nummer had two aces. Brooklynn Burhans had a nice night at the net and put up a block as did Chloe Zander. Aubrei Nash covered her teammates well from the front row. Emma Patterson had a kill as well. The Lady Dawgs took the second set 25-13. Game three began and the Bulldogs knew they couldn’t give up many points. Portland fought hard and despite our strong serves and high energy, the Lady Dawgs fell short by two points in the end and lost the final set 14-16. 

The 8th Grade B Team is 7-8 so far this season. Join us this Wednesday at home as we take on Eaton Rapids. Go Bulldogs!
