Boys Varsity Football vs. Forest Hills Eastern HS School

FOREST HILLS EAST- Ionia’s (5-5, 4-3) season ended with a 27-0 loss to Forest Hills Eastern. Ionia went 3 and out on their opening series and got FHE into a 4th and 15 that they were able to convert and eventually took a 6-0 lead. Ionia threw an interception on their next series that led to another FHE touchdown to make the score 13-0. Forest Hills Eastern was able to get another score with two minutes left in the first half. Ionia was able to move the ball down the FHE six yard line before half with help from a long pass play from Tucker Jr. to Spencer Tooker. Tooker finished with 55 yards receiving on four catches. The game remained 20-0 until the final five minutes of the game when FHE got a final score to complete the game at 27-0. Spencer Tooker led Ionia with six tackles and Hunter Barker added five more. Parker Siedleman and Travier Tucker each had pass deflections for Ionia.
