Eaton Rapids- Ionia lost 27-21 to fall to 0-3. Coach Rhynard said he was disappointed with the first half, with Ionia falling behind 14-0 at half. Ionia rallied to make it 14-7 and then tied the game at 21-21 before giving up a late Eaton Rapids touchdown. Rhynard was happy with the second half resilience.
