LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Lansing Catholic tonight for a conference match-up. The Bulldogs got off to a strong start in the first set but couldn't quite close out dropping a close 1st set. Ionia continued to work hard with some great defense and strong swings but ultimately dropped the next two sets at the end.
It was a defensive battle in the match with Alexias Daugherty picking up 16 digs while Logan Thomas and Paislie Patterson both kept 15 in play. At the net defensively Tessa Lemke led with 3 blocks while Grace Droste, Ireland Brown and Josie Lee each had one. Offensively Ionia was led by Logan Thomas with 9 kills while Amaya Frias put down another 7. Droste put up 23 assists on the night. Behind the service line Thomas and Patterson each had an ace.
The Bulldogs are now 3-1 in Conference play and 17-8-1 on the season. Good work Bulldogs!
