LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 25
The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Lansing Catholic tonight for another CAAC White match up. The Bulldogs came out playing tough behind great defense to get out to a quick lead. After some back and forth points Ionia was unable to maintain their early momentum and fell in three sets. Londyn Brown led the defensive effort tonight with 11 digs while Tess Griffith and Drew Wachowski both added 9. Rajalyaj Esquivel led the defense at the net with 3 solo blocks. Wachowski and Griffith also led the team's offensive efforts with 7 kills each. Grace Droste and Mikaiah White both worked to keep the offense going with 6 assists each. The Bulldogs fall to 5-3 in CAAC White play and 21-7-3 overall. Come cheer on the team next Tuesday for the last regular season home match at which we will recognize our youth players as well. Great work Bulldogs!
