The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Eaton Rapids tonight to continue the second round of conference play. The team came out strong with good serves and quick defense, but were unable to close out a back and forth first set falling short by 2 points. The Bulldogs came back out in set two determined to overcome the first set and never looked back finishing the match in 4. It was another great night of balanced play with fantastic defense and quick kill swings on offense. Tess Griffith led on offense for the Bulldogs with 21 kills while Rajalyaj Esquivel added 15. Mikaiah White kept the offense swinging strong with 34 assists while Grace Droste added 19. Ionia had a stellar night behind the service line also with M. White & Griffith both tossing up 4 aces. Londyn Brown put in the effort on defense tonight keeping 26 balls in play while Griffith added 18. At the net on defense Emma White had 3 blocks while Droste added 2. The Bulldogs move to 5-2 in CAAC White play and 21-6-3 overall. Next the Bulldogs travel to LCC on Thursday. Great work Bulldogs!
