J.W. SEXTON HIGH SCHOOL: 6
The Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Lansing Sexton tonight to start the second round of conference play. The Bulldogs came out strong serving well and hitting efficiently. The team was able to put together several great runs and complete the program sweep of Sexton. Offensive leaders for the night were Tess Griffith with 8 kills and Rajalyaj Esquivel & Mikaiah White with 6 each. M. White also dished out 14 assists while Grace Droste put up 12. Behind the service line Drew Wachowski had a great night with 6 aces while Kate Brown added 5. K. Brown also led the defensive effort for the night with 4 digs with M. White adding 3. Defensively at the net Emma White led with 1 solo block. The Bulldogs are now 4-2 in CAAC White play and 17-5-2 overall. The Bulldogs travel to St Johns this Saturday for tournament play. Great work ladies!
