The Ionia Varsity Volleyball team was back on their home court in league action tonight against Eaton Rapids. After a slow start in the first set, the Bulldogs rallied together and found their pace to sweep the Greyhounds in 3 straight sets. It was a balanced effort throughout the match tonight as defense made great saves to keep the ball in play and offense worked hard to capitalize off those saves and put the ball away to push points for the Bulldogs. Tess Griffith led the offensive attack with 9 kills while Drew Wachowski added 8. Mikaiah White dished out 17 assists across the net tonight. Rajalyaj Esquivel led the attack behind the service line with 3 aces. Leading the charge on defense was Londyn Brown with 19 digs. Griffith also had 1 block on defense at the net. The Bulldogs continue to work hard and improve, moving to 8-1-1 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. Next up the team will be traveling to Greenville on Thursday. Great work Bulldogs!
