The Varsity Volleyball team opened conference play with a resounding win over Eaton Rapids! The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead in the first set and played strong to finish 25-15. They stepped back on the court fired up, putting up big numbers on offense with the support of a tenacious defense and closed out the second set 25-10. After a quick run of serves to start the third set with Ionia up 0-4, Eaton Rapids starting pushing back. However, the team rallied together and found their groove to close out the match 25-20 for a 3-0 sweep of the Greyhounds. 

The front row led the game tonight with a strong presence at the net on offense and defense! Co-Captain Danika Fyan had 9 kills and 7 solo blocks. Tess Griffith added 8 kills and 3 solo blocks, while Brynn Ream tallied 7 kills and 2 solo blocks. Co-Captain Kassidy Casillas dished out 24 assists and chipped in 5 kills. The Bulldogs went on the attack behind the service line as well with every server having at least 1 ace and consistently keeping the Greyhounds off balance. Danika led with 4 aces, while Paige Castillo and Londyn Brown both had 3. Defense had another stellar night to help keep the ball in play and give the Bulldogs scoring opportunities. Paige Castillo led the back row with 9 digs, while Londyn Brown and GraceMarie Martinez both kept 6 in play.

The Lady Dawgs are now 1-0 in CAAC and 9-1 overall. Great job all around tonight ladies!
