The final regular season game of the year as we prepare for the MHSAA tournament. It was a long trip to Fowlerville to take on a team that has had a very good season.

It would prove to be a very close match with Fowlerville probably just edging the overall possession in the first half. Their quick ball movement caught us sleeping within the first 10 minutes and we payed for it as they scored the first goal.  We settled down after that and both teams played a pretty exciting remainder of the half.  1-0 to Fowlerville at the half. During half-time we liked where we were at both physically and tactically, so we basically agreed we needed to stay the course and our chances would come.

In the second half we did do a better job of asserting ourselves and we tied, then took the lead. Then they tied it up. Then we got the third and really, but for a nervy few minutes, we closed the game out for the 3-2 victory. 

Goals: Zane Sarka - 3.  Having returned from his mid-season injury, Zane picked up where he left off, driving through the defense on his way to a hat-trick. 

Carter Castillo - Seemed to be everywhere that the Fowlerville attackers were to steer the ball out of harm's way.

There were moments where each player out on the field did their part to ensure the win and they should take pride in the way they battled tonight. This gives us a record of 11-5-2 on the season and really gives us a good test going into our MHSAA Districts Away match set for Wednesday, Oct. 11. Kick-off is 5:00 pm @ Houseman Field vs Ottawa Hills (Bus leaves @ 3:15) Cash Only for fan entrance).
