Ionia boys varsity soccer falls 4-1 to Lansing Waverly on Thursday night.
Waverly would sneak in a few goals early in the half but Ionia would continue to fight. Derrick Santana would put a goal in the back of the net to end the half. The boys continued to battle hard until the end, but that goal would stand as Ionia’s lone goal.
Caiden Sayers would help generate lots of chances in the second half and Scotti Kimber and Marcos Velasco played well on the defensive end.
Ionia’s next game will be Tuesday at home vs Charlotte with a 7pm kick off.
