After a couple of recent tough losses (in which Alex Velasco and Scotti Kimber put in notable shifts), The Soccerdawgs were eager to move beyond our injuries and illnesses to try to score a needed win.

Today was a special day. We were celebrating our seniors and their contributions to the team. 

• 4-year player, Carl Goeckel has been a big part of this team for 4 seasons. He will be missed.
• First-year player Issaaic Lopez, was a welcome addition to the team. He has grown and improved throughout the season. Our regret is that he didn't join us sooner.

As for the rest of the players, this was a game they were determined to win. 

The team's leading scorer, Derrick Santana got back to scoring ways with a brace. Damon Lautenbach has been threatening to score for many games now. Today, emphatically got the goals he deserved by picking up a hatrick. Carl Goeckel picked up 2 assists on his special day, while Caiden Sayers shutdown the opposition with aplomb. Alex Velasco did his bit again today and tallied a win in goal.
