Ionia 2 - Greenville 2 

What a game! It was a physical match today as Greenville came to town for a Saturday matinee.
The game started out with Greenville trying to impose themselves from the start but the Bulldogs handled the pressure well and quickly grew into the game bringing their own pressure to bare on the visitors. There was a pretty spirited back and forth as the teams went after that first tally. Mid-way through the 1st half it came when Ionia worked their way into the box.  Scotti Kimber broke the scoreless deadlock when he seized on an opportunity to be the late runner into the box. Gage Flanner heard his call as he stormed the box and slid him the ball with Kimber promptly dispatching it into the back of the net.

At some point, Greenville tied it up. 

Then, Freshman Daman Lautenbach played keep away with three defenders following that up with a well positioned ball into the upper right corner of the goal.

The score would end up at 2-2 but this was defintley a game the boys felt we could have won. Regardless, they playedhard, they played well and supported each other with a GRITty performance. 

Goals:

Scotti Kimber - 1 -  Great late run into the box for the goal. That's three goals in three games. Can we keep the trend going? 
Daman Lautenbach - 1 - A fantastic individual effort to weave through the defense en route to his first HS goal. Long overdue for the effort he's putting out there.

Alex Barr played another great game in goal for us today with 8 saves on the day.
