Tonight was a special night for Ionia as we celebrated the community coming together over the fight against cancer. The players donned purple jerseys for the match and took to the field to play against Bath in the name of a loved one.
Tonight's match offered us an opportunity to switch things up. We got to see some players perform in roles they don't normally have a chance to play in. It was great fun for the players and as a result we saw some different names show up on the score sheet.
Next game is at home Saturday, Sept. 18 against Everett. Kick-off at 12:30 p.m.
