Ionia 8th grade girls recorded a road win at Olivet Monday, handing the Eagles a 45-31 setback. Holding a slim 16-13 first quarter advantage the Lady Dawgs extended it to 24-18 at the half. Olivet cut the lead to five, 31-26 after 3 periods but a 14-5 fourth stanza sealed the victory. Selina Stalker scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the Ionia attack. Pyper Patterson and Ryelee Daugherty hit double figures with 12 points each. Patterson added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals while Daugherty contributed 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Bella Barr netted 3 points to go with her 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jovie Overkamp had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Alexa Petersen pulled down 3 rebounds and nabbed 2 steals. Ionia 2-2 for the season will host Portland on Wednesday at 5:45.
