PORTLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL : 46
Tonight the Bulldogs traveled to Portland for their last game of the season. The team came ready to play and was able to hang with Portland. At the end of the first half Ionia 14 and Portland 18. Portland put the full court pressure on and was able to build on their lead going into the 4th quarter 32-19. The team never gave up and played to the last buzzer. Final score Ionia 25 and Portland 46. Leading scorers were Noah Jordan with 8 points, Bastian Downs with 4 points, Ryder Willingham 2, and Aleutian Raymond scoring his first points of the season with 4. Others were Bentley Smith 2, Anthony Meyer 2, and Camron Taylor with 1 point. The teams record was 0-9 on the season. There was a lot of individual growth along with the team continuing to work hard with a never give up attitude. Great Job!
