Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Portland. This was a game the team felt good about. Unfortunately, Ionia started slow and immediately went down by 10. They played better in the second quarter and going into the half was down 11-21. We talked about chipping away at the lead and they pulled within 8 going into the fourth quarter. They were never able to get any closer and lost 38-27. Leading scorers were Riley Yokom with 14 points, Cole Petersen and Nolan Perry each had 4. Caiden Sayers hit a three and Rowan Spearman chipped in two. The Bulldogs are now 1-8. Their next game is this Wednesday at home against Charlotte. This is the last game of the season.
