Tonight the Bulldogs hosted St. Johns for the second game of the season. In the first quarter, St. Johns led 10-6 but the Bulldogs were able to hold St. Johns to 0 points in the second. Going into halftime we were down 10-9. The second half was a back-and-forth battle. Ionia was down by 1 with under a minute but was unable to pull out the victory. The final score was St. Johns 27 and Ionia 23. Leading scorers were Harper Duell with 12 points, Cole Petersen with 4 points, Riley Yokom with 3, Bradyn Diebel and Caiden Sayers each had 2 points. Ionia is now 0-2. Their next game is Monday, November 15 at Waverly.
