CHARLOTTE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 46
Tonight Ionia hosted the Orioles of Charlotte. It was a good night to be a Bulldog. Ionia won 61-46. In the first quarter, the teams played evenly but in the second quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Charlotte 20-9. Going into halftime Ionia led 33-17. In the third quarter, the Bulldogs started slow and Charlotte was able to cut into the lead and were only down by 10. In the fourth, the Bulldogs took control and came away with a victory. Leading scorers were J.J. Christensen with 19 points and Kadyn Ross with 13 points. Other scorers were Jude Gilmore with 7, Daniel Gilmore with 6, Sam Montgomery with 6, Cash Hummel and Ethan Wenzel with 4, and Teddy Sprank with 2. Ionia is now 1-2. Their next game is Wednesday, November 16 at Mason.
