LAKEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL: 51
Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Lakewood. It was a slow start for Ionia who only managed 5 points in the first quarter. Again in the second quarter, it was difficult to get the offense going and the team was down 26-17. The team battled throughout the second half and cut the lead to 4 points with under 10 seconds but ran out of time. Overall, it was the most complete game the team has played all year. Leading scorers were Chase Reister with 12 points, Garrett Gorby with 8, and Austin Ayany with 8. Other scorers were Tanner Batista with 7, Conner Vanallsuburg with 5, Parker Spitzley with 3, and Landon Gerstein with 2. The team is now 0-6 on the season. Their next game is Monday, December 2 at Eaton Rapids.
